Shed Everything

You will dance
but not
as you have danced before

you will love
but not
as you have loved before

when
you shed everything
and
everything
sheds you

you will sing
for the world has not yet heard
your true song

and then

even the soles of your feet
will know
the Beloved's kiss.

The Chorus Girl

The troupe
was well received
wherever they went

their fake masks
and
counterfeit performance
always
drew full houses
standing room only

until that night
when

she
third from the left
back row of the chorus
took off her mask

the audience was stunned
the leading lady fainted
and
the script flew out the window

the troupe disbanded
not long after

and now
she
third row from the left
back row of the chorus

has her own
one woman show
unique and free

and
no-one knows
what
will
happen
next.

Love Bows at my Feet

Now I see

the deepest longing
of my heart
has never been mine
to own
even though it felt
so familiar

now I see

I have always been danced
I have always been played
by Love's exquisite touch
on the strings of
my Being

how could I not follow?
how could I be a wallflower?

when Love bows at my feet
and requests
the pleasure.
